Paris, France – March 10-12
Jim and Emily had the opportunity to visit the Young Professional CBMC Group in Paris, France. During dinner, Jim shared his testimony and encouraged the group to meditate on the Mustard Seed Parable. Jesus said to them, “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
We should not be discouraged by the size of our CBMC team or group, but trust that God will be faithful. As we focus on Him and are obedient to what He has called us to in our marketplace, He will give opportunities to be salt and light – and make an impact for Him in the lives of others. Jim encouraged the group to individually seek the Lord daily; build a strong team spirit and become mobilized for the Kingdom.
The following morning they had breakfast with a group of young entrepreneurs. Jim encouraged them on the importance of keeping their identity in Christ. As business and marketplace opportunities compete for our time, talent and treasure, it is our walk with Jesus that will keep us grounded. As Ambassadors for Christ in the marketplace, our true purpose is to make a contribution for the kingdom of heaven.
