CBMC Basics Training for East Africa

July 7-8, 2016  The first East Africa CBMC Basics Training took place in Nairobi, Kenya, with the Theme: “Raising and Developing Marketplace Ambassadors.” Team leaders and key leaders from Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania attended.

Objectives of training

  1. To Raise Marketplace Ambassadors in East Africa
  2. To Train Trainers
  3. To Train Leaders on how to run CBMC in their country
  4. To Ensure all CBMC Countries in Africa focus on the ends of CBMC
  5. To Develop CBMC East Africa regional leadership to handle regional training needs.Masimba Chimwara and Alex Chisanga shared with participants the meaning of CBMC as well as the Mission, Vision, Values and Ends of CBMC.

    Being involved in Marketplace Ministry the participants were challenged to look at their business place and work place as their mission field. Masimba urged the participants to make the gospel their lifestyle, so others could see Christ through them.

    Conclusions: CBMC Africa believes –Each participant who attended the training went home with a challenge to create and make sure CBMC grows in their country.

    As a result of this training we will see CBMC grow in Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya.

    We will see the establishment of CBMC in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

    We expect to see not less than 6 new teams in the next year. Please continue to pray for these  country leaders and the teams – that God would give them strength and strong bonds of ministry together.
