In Romania 12,570,000 people live in the cities, however only 300,000 know Jesus and walk with Him every day. Since March of this year, 39 new teams have formed to study Operation Timothy with a total of 156 participants, most of them non-believers.
Gabriela shares: My father always used to hurt my mother. I could hear their daily fights and I was always afraid that my father would brutally hurt my mother. I never liked the idea of a family, because I didn’t want to go through what happened to my mother. But what happened to my mother, happened to me. I thought that if I married a man who studied economics like me, I would be very happy. Even though I had a beautiful little girl, I was always thinking about ending my relationship with my husband of 10 years, Adrian.
A friend invited me and my husband to Operation Timothy. I couldn’t believe what those people were like, my first reaction was that they were hypocrites. I couldn’t believe it’s true what they were saying. I found my purpose in life, but I couldn’t understand why those people were talking about Jesus so much. It seemed they were preoccupied about Him. But when I understood, I prayed and I said: God, You can touch my heart and You can change my life. I accept You in my life and I want to be happy with my relationship with You. My husband prayed as well, and God changed his life. From that moment on, those people became my friends, our life changed, and we read the Bible. I am telling my friends about the way God changed our life.
It is exciting to hear how God is working in Romania. Please join us to pray that God will prepare CBMC leaders and teams for every sector in every city in Romania.
