The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection and appointment of Chris Simpson as President of CBMC International, Inc., effective January 1, 2023.

Chris, a CBMC member in South Florida (USA), is passionate about discipling, evangelism, and is a frequent speaker concerning Christ and living out our faith in the global marketplace. Chris has a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry Leadership and is an ordained evangelical minister.

Chris is concluding a decorated career of public service to the United States. For the last twenty-three years, Chris has served the United States Secret Service, an apolitical agency tasked with protecting the nation’s highest elected leaders, visiting foreign heads of state, and national special security events. In his career, Chris has had the opportunity to serve with seven US Presidents, from Jimmy Carter to Joe Biden.

Chris is bi-lingual, speaking fluent Spanish as well as English. Chris is married to Ana who is from Nicaragua. They have three children,Darian, Isabela and John. In addition to his multi-cultural family, he has significant global experience including working in over 40 different countries as well as living in Colombia for five years. In these countries, Chris and his teams were responsible for establishing local networks, logistics, and building key relationships to provide operational readiness when needed.

While fulfilling this career of public service, Chris devoted significant time in mentoring and discipling others as well as building and leading several Christian ministries, including Kingdom Men Ministry, Act Like Men Ministry and Groups Ministry Mentor/Coach (DWC – Miramar Beach, Florida).

We are grateful that Chris has agreed to continue his life of service with us at CBMCI.

As previously announced, Jim Firnstahl will be retiring at the end of the year and will support the CBMCI Board through the transition to Chris Simpson. Jim together with his wife Emily have ably served CBMCI for the past 11 years having had a strong influence in areas such as Board Governance structures and rolling out our 10X strategy growth vision.

For the past several years, Jim and the Board have been praying, planning, and preparing for this transition. In seeking God’s direction for our next leader, the Board conducted a global search from both within and outside of CBMC. Over 265 applications were received, and a slate of candidates was narrowed to a smaller group of amazing, diverse, and gifted proven leaders. The Search Committee of the Board of Directors interviewed these candidates and then had in-depth meetings with three finalists, reaching a unanimous consensus to recommend Chris Simpson as the best candidate to guide CBMCI into the future. This recommendation was then presented, reviewed, and approved by the full CBMCI Board of Directors.

The Board was persuaded that Chris’ passion for Christ, and discipling others, combined with his significant leadership ability, and cross-cultural experiences around the globe, have uniquely prepared him for this role. Please join the Board and CBMCI family in praying for, supporting, and encouraging Chris Simpson and his family.
