Nijkerk, Netherlands – May 22, 2025
Let’s just say it straight: God showed up.
At De Verding in Nijkerk, CBMC Netherlands hosted a gathering that left no one unchanged. Christian entrepreneurs, leaders, and seekers came hungry—and left lit up with fresh faith and holy purpose. One attendee said it best:
“It was gold.”
We opened with a leadership workshop for CBMC team members and regional leaders. Léon van der Eijk and Huib Hartog didn’t bring leadership fluff. They brought the fire—unpacking the life of Joshua with battle-worn truth for leaders who know that following God in the marketplace isn’t safe, isn’t easy, and isn’t optional. This wasn’t a pep talk. It was a call to war.
Then came the ALV—a moment to stop, breathe, and recognize the fingerprints of God all over this movement. We looked back with gratitude. We looked forward with resolve. And right in the middle? A launch worth shouting about: the Young Professional Program.
This is not a side project. It’s a holy strategy to raise up a new generation of bold, Spirit-filled entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. A pilot group starts this fall. Full rollout is coming in 2026. It’s not just about business. It’s about building the Kingdom.
After dinner, we turned our eyes upward in worship. Johan Den Hartogh led us—not to a stage, but to the throne. Jesus was lifted high. Not as a concept, but as King over every contract, every client, every calling.
Then Wouter de Vos opened the Word and brought the Gospel like a sword to the heart. No hedging. No soft edges. Just truth that cuts—and heals. From there, small group conversations went deep. Not surface-level chatter, but iron-sharpening-iron stuff. The kind of vulnerability that marks a people serious about holiness.
And yes—there was prayer. Because prayer isn’t an accessory to ministry. It is the strategy.
The night closed with connection and community. But what lingered most wasn’t the coffee or conversation. It was conviction. A fresh sense that God is not done with the Netherlands—and He is not done with CBMC.
This wasn’t just an event. It was a Kingdom moment.
So here’s the question: Are you ready for what’s next?
Because God’s moving—and we’re not looking to play church in the marketplace.
